Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced new measures allowing cafes, cafeterias, restaurants and street food vendors to remain open until midnight, starting on 26 July. The measures allow increasing customer capacity to 50%.

Madbouly added commercial shops and commercial centres (malls) will close at 10pm, and that cinemas and theatres will operate with a 25% capacity.

Regarding Eid Al-Adha prayer, it was agreed that the same measures which were applied in Eid Al-Fitr prayer will be followed.

The decision includes allowing official conferences and meetings, with a maximum capacity of 50 participants, provided that the capacity of the hall in which the conference or meeting is held is not less than 100 people.

Major exhibitions and conferences will be allowed to convene from October onwards.
