The officials explored cooperation opportunities between the bank and African countries to generate clean and renewable energy.

“The Egyptian government and the World Bank share the same priorities and work programs which are based on supporting the transition towards a green economy, enhancing environmental sustainability, accelerating the pace of digital transformation and empowering women”, Shoukry explained.

The Foreign Minister reviewed the state’s economical efforts aiming to achieve a flexible, comprehensive and sustainable economy with the delegation.

Egypt had intensified its efforts to preserve the environment, especially ahead of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) conference in Sharm El-Sheikh next November.
