Sisi, Brazilian Federal Court’s VP discuss cooperation between supreme audit institutions

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Vice-President of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts Bruno Dantas discussed boosting cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of both countries, at a meeting on Wednesday.

“It falls within the framework of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) which represents the international voice of the supreme audit bodies”, Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.

Dantas hailed the historic strong relations between Egypt and Brazil and affirmed his country’s keenness to enhance mutual understanding with Egypt in the field of legal and financial audit and combating corruption.

“This comes especially in light of the important role played by the relevant bodies of the two countries to protect state funds and property”, Dantas said.

Sisi reviewed with the Brazilian official the efforts exerted by Egypt through its strategies to combat corruption and enhance transparency, integrity and accountability.
