Egypt, GCC sign MoU on political consultation

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry and  the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Nayef Falah al-Hajraf signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the political consultation mechanism on Thursday.

“The signed MoU contributes to strengthening political and strategic relations between the two sides, especially during the current stage, which is witnessing unprecedented challenges It require activating coordination and cooperation”, Shoukry explained.

Following the signing ceremony, the officials held a meeting where they discussed current relations between Egypt and the GCC. They exchanged views on the current regional and international issues.

At the meeting, the GCC Secretary-General highlighted the importance of the MoU in enhancing the relations and cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
