Egyptians and Morocco meet on Sunday at AFCON quarter final

The Egyptian National team will play a decisive match on Sunday 30 January against Morocco in the quarter finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon between 9 January and 6 February.

The match is scheduled at Ahmedou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde at 4 pm Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco times, 5pm Cairo time, 6 pm  Qatar and Saudi Arabia times, and 7 pm UAE time.

The match between the Pharaohs and the Atlas Lions is expected to attract large public viewership.

The Moroccan team presented a distinguished performance throughout the tournament so far. They topped their group in point ranking. Morocco excluded Malawi in a 2-1 win match in the round of eight.

On its part, Egypt beat Côte d’Ivoire in the round of eight, after a period of criticism for its performance in the group stage. The match ended with a score of 5-4 through penalty kicks after a tie followed by extra time without goals.

BeIN Sports, the owner of the cup’s full broadcast rights, will provide technical analysis and a follow up on all the matches. beIN Sport Max will broadcast the Egypt-Morocco match on Sunday.

The match will also be aired on Canal Algérie, Al Nabaa channel, Fox Sport channel, and Tele Chad.
