The World Youth Forum (WYF)’s organisers launched an interactive platform to facilitate remote participation in the forum’s fourth annual gathering, which will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh between 10 and 13 January.
“The newly-launched digital platform helps create an interactive atmosphere among all participants. It also enables all those interested in the forum to follow up on its activities and participate in workshops”, the WYF announced on Thursday.
The platform provides information about the forum, its agenda and participating speakers. “Individuals can also virtually participate in the forum only via registering their emails on the platform”, the WYF noted.
This year’s edition of the forum will discuss several vital topics reflecting the features of the new reality in relation to the forum’s three main axis; peace, innovation and development.
On 8 and 9 January, a number of preparatory workshops will be held to tackle the need to review 2030 SDGs, the future of the African continent; digitalisation; education, and Generation Z’s perception of the post-pandemic world.
Other topics include the future of energy, climate change, sustainability of water security, global peace and security, post-conflict reconstruction, art and creativity, and creating a safe world for women.
