Egypt approves vaccinating 12-15 aged children using Pfizer and Sinovac vaccines

“Teenagers aged 12-15 will receive the Covid-19 vaccine. The decision follows the approval and recommendations of the World Health Organisation”, Egyptian Cabinet spokesman, Nader Saad, told Al-Hayat TV channel on Sunday.

Saad noted, “this age group will be allowed to register for vaccinations starting from the first week of December and will be notified about the time and place of their vaccination”.

“Pfizer and Sinovac vaccines will be used to vaccinate children aged 12-15, having won international approval and license to use both vaccines”, said Presidential Health Adviser Mohamed Tag al-Din.

Officials at the Ministry of Health confirmed; “951 new COVID-19 infections were detected over the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of infections to 356,718 late Sunday”.

Death toll in the country has so far reached 20,347, following the death of 42 COVID-19 patients. Meanwhile, the National total recoveries have reached 296,167, after the full recovery of 733 patients.
