Niagara Falls lit up in the colours of the Egyptian flag in celebration of Egypt’s National Day (the 68thanniversary of the 23 July revolution) on Thursday evening.

The Egyptian embassy in Ottawa led by Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zaid coordinated with the Canadian side to prepare for this distinguished celebration. It coincided with the celebrations of the Egyptian Heritage Month in Ontario, where a series of virtual events have been organized.

Egypt’s flag was raised, and the National anthem was played in front of the headquarters of the Municipality of the Canadian capital Ottawa, on the occasion.
