French handball league awards ‘best player’ to Egyptian scorer Marwa Eid

Professional Egyptian handball player Marwa Eid Abdel Malik won the best player award in ‘LFH Division 1 Féminine’, which is part of the premier women’s handball league in France.

Marwa scored 143 goals in a total of 22 out of 26 matches in the league. She won the competition’s top scorer award.

In January Abdel Malik announced the renewal of her contract with the Nice team for three years. The team concluded the ‘LFH Division 1 Féminine’ in seventh place with a total of 51 points.

The athlete is one of the most prominent and ambitious Egyptian handball stars outside the country. She comes from an athletic family eminent in handball. Her sister Nasra Eid plays for the Al-Ahly handball team, and her other sister Hanan Eid is the former coach of the Al-Ahly handball team.
