Authorities at Cairo International Airport began easier entry requirement for international arrivals on Sunday.
The new measures scrapped the requirement to fill a hard copy of a declaration form. Authorities encourage arrivals to register on (www.visitegypt.gov.eg) to obtain an approval, QR code, code to enter Egypt.
In addition, thorough aircraft disinfection procedures will be reduced to routine aircraft disinfection standards. Under the new regulations, aircraft will no longer undertake a full disinfection after each flight.
Such procedures were introduced as part of COVID-19 precautionary measures. However, in recent weeks the Ministry of Health has been reporting reductions in COVID-19 infections.
