Sisi and Salman agreed on the necessity of boosting joint efforts in the fight against terrorism. They affirmed their support to international endeavour to reach political settlements for regional disputes.
King Salman expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s support on various issues. He said, “Saudi Arabia is keen to boost bilateral relations between the two countries”.
Sisi stressed the importance of “uniting Arabs in facing regional challenges”. He reiterated, “Egypt will not allow the security and stability of the Gulf states to be comprised”.
Sisi’s visit to Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest producer of crude oil, comes amid the ongoing Russian military operation in the Ukraine. The conflict threatens to severely impact the global economy, with oil and gas prices already soaring.
