Louvre Museum curator visits Egyptian Museums

Director of the Louvre Museum in Paris Laurence des Cars and a French delegation toured the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat on Saturday.

Director of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Sabah Abdel Razek accompanied des Cars in a tour of the museum’s archives and the King Tutankhamun Hall. She showed them the development work at the Tanis Treasures Hall and the Old Kingdom Hall at the museum.

At the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat the visit included a tour of several halls. Des Cars and her delegation listened to detailed presentation of the museum’s history and the highlights of its spectacular archaeological treasures displayed in the Central Exhibition Hall and the Hall of the Royal Mummies.
