The Egyptian Embassy in Kyiv issued several statements to evacuate the Egyptian community in Ukraine on Friday.
“Egyptian citizens living in Kharkov, Eastern, Southern and central Ukrainian cities are obliged to stay in their homes or shelters until a safe exit is negotiated for them”, the Egyptian embassy in the Ukraine said.
“As for the citizens in the Western cities who have the ability to go to the Polish borders, should do so, as the Polish authorities are allowing the entry of all nationalities. Poland currently grants a 15-day entry visa to allow repatriation”, the embassy added.
The Egyptian Embassy in Romania confirmed that the border between Romania and Ukraine is open.Due to heavy congestion on the Polish borders, Egyptian citizens can head to Western Ukrainian cities and the borders with Romania.
“All citizens in the city of Kyiv should not venture out of the city now, due to the seriousness of the situation on the ground”, the embassy stressed.
The emergency number of the Egyptian embassy in Romania is +40726164978 and should be only used in the event of any complications on the Romanian border.
