Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled al-Enany reopened Hurghada Museum on Friday. It was closed due to coronavirus spread.
Enany announced, “the museum is ready to receive visitors and tourists soon, while following strict precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the museum’s employees, visitors and tourists”.
Hurghada Museum is the first Egyptian museum to be reopened after the pandemic.
The museum staff were trained to professionally deal with and assist visitors of the museum.
Hurghada Museum is one of the most prominent projects implemented by the Ministry of Antiquities in partnership with the private sector, which provided the museum’s building. It houses 2000 artefacts to attract tourist visits to the museum.
