The Chinese Foreign ministry said 21 countries, including Egypt, offered medical assistance to China to help confront the novel coronavirus.
“These countries also include South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Britain, France, Germany, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Iran, Belarus, Algeria, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Trinidad and Tobago”, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a press briefing.
Hua said the UNICEF offered assistance to China. Other countries offereded offer donations.
“A friend in need is a friend indeed. I’d like to thank them all,” Hua said. He added that “medical masks, protective suits and safety goggles are urgently needed at present.
