Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosts “Inca road systems” photo exhibition

The Department of Exhibitions and Art Collections of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will organize, , a photo exhibition tomorrow; September 12, entitled (Inca Road System).
The Peruvian Ambassador to Egypt will inaugurate the exhibition.

The exhibition includes a number of distinctive photographs taken of the Inca road, one of the most important road networks in Latin America.

Extended over 30,000 kilometres, Inca Main Road passes through a number of countries: Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, parts of Argentina and Chile.

The road also witnessed the rise and fall of several Latin civilizations in this part of the world and was included by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Alongside the exhibition, the Arts Centre of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing its first concert for the artistic season 2019-2020, for the first time on the theatres of the library.

The Arts Centre will present Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony Orchestra in the library’s Grand Theatre on September 21, in addition to the Fantasy Coral for piano, choir and orchestra.

Egyptian international pianist Ramzi Yassa will participate in the concert, with the Library Orchestra. The Youth Orchestra and the BA Symphony Orchestra will lead the concert will be led by Maestro Nayer Nagy; the orchestra’s chief conductor as of the current season.

The orchestra will offers a number of concerts during the current season; ranging from classical Egyptian to international music, with interest in concerts and workshops for children and youth.
