Egyptian Health officials urge self-isolation for acute COVID-19 symptoms

Egyptian Ministry of Health called on citizens on Wednesday to self-isolate at home if they feel any acute respiratory symptoms.

It called all citizens to register on its official website for COVID-19 vaccinations. Egypt targets vaccinating 40% of the population by the end of the year.

Reports from the Ministry of Health revealed high rates of recovery from the coronavirus at isolation hospitals at 86% Nationwide.

The Ministry implored all citizens to follow precautionary measures including wearing masks, constantly washing hands, avoiding large crowds and practicing social distancing.

“889 new coronavirus cases were detected in the country, 51 deaths, and 1,109 recoveries on Tuesday”. Egyptian National statistics show “a total of 364,922 positive infections, 20,821 deaths and 303,368 recoveries”.
