The Egyptian Ministry of Health recorded “81 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 283,490”.
“A total of 986 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving the necessary medical care, which pushes the number of recovered cases to 221,516 so far”, the Ministry’s spokesman Khaled Megahed said. “The COVID-19 related death toll reached 16,425 Nationwide”.
Egypt is successfully past a third wave of the pandemic, reporting daily coronavirus counts at less than 100 for the first time since October last year.
