The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology signed an MoU with South Korea’s Pusan National University, on Tuesday, to enrol Egyptian students in a master’s program in artificial intelligence within ‘Digital Egypt Builders Initiative’ (DEBI).

The initiative, which was launched in 2020, features a one-year program offering 1,000 training opportunities for bachelor’s degree graduates in engineering and computer science who studied at Egyptian universities.

The ‘Digital Egypt Builders Initiative’ offers courses in four fields including data science and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics and automation and digital arts.

Candidates will be taught soft skills like communication skills, fundamentals of business administration, entrepreneurship and English language courses.

The candidates will receive four certificates including a master’s degree from an accredited international university, ICT technical certificate, leadership skills certificate, and English language certificate.

DEBI’s candidates can live in dorms with access to modern digital labs and sports facilities.

After completing the program, candidates can have their graduation project funded and executed by a company to become a reality, become part of Egypt’s National projects or start their own business.
