Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed El-Tayyeb extended his “heartfelt Christmas greetings to head of the Catholic Church Pope Francis and all Christians worldwide”.
In a message to Pope Frances, El-Tayyeb highlighted “the robust ties between the Muslim and Christian worlds”. The grand imam cited joint efforts, of his own and the pontiff, to foster dialogue among followers of different religions and cultures”.
The Grand Imam wished the whole world further happiness, peace and prosperity.
