The Cabinet approved Tuesday a draft presidential decree to set up a Research Endowment Fund.
The proposed Research Endowment Fund aims to implement a government’s plan, approved by the House of Representatives in July 2018 to support inventors and innovators and offer human capacity development programs and scholarships for young distinguished researchers in universities and research centres.
The fund will also bankroll research activities that require urgent financial support in all fields of technology and fundamental, applied and human science.
